The purpose of the Office of Federal Programs is to support the improvement of basic programs operated by the local schools. Supplemental funding is provided for resources to help low-achieving students from high poverty schools. Funding is to ensure all students have a fair and equal opportunity to obtain a high-quality education.
Support is given to campus in core academic areas as well as support programs, such as:
NCLB Accountability and Compliance
Professional Development
Response to Intervention
School Improvement and Supplemental Educational Services (SES)
A school-wide program permits a school to use funds to upgrade the entire educational program of the school in order to raise academic achievement for all students. Collaboration with the community along with parents is imperative to provide quality feedback and ensure program effectiveness. All of Royal Independent School District campuses are Title I campuses.
