Royal ISD is thrilled to announce the outstanding achievement of the Royal Falcon Wind Ensemble at the UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest held at Brenham High School on Thursday, April 4th. The Royal Falcon Wind Ensemble delivered an exceptional performance, earning top marks and receiving a Sweepstakes for their remarkable musical prowess.
During the contest, our talented musicians showcased their dedication and skill on stage, impressing the judges with their exceptional musicality. The ensemble received impressive scores of 1, 1, 1 in the concert portion of the competition, demonstrating their precision, artistry, and musical excellence.
In the challenging sight-reading segment of the contest, the Royal Falcon Wind Ensemble continued to shine, achieving outstanding scores of 1, 2, 1. Their ability to interpret and perform music they had not seen before with such proficiency is a testament to their talent and hard work.
This latest achievement adds to the ensemble's previous success in Marching, where they also received perfect scores of 1, 1, 1. With this combined success in both Concert, Sight Reading, and Marching, the Royal Falcon Wind Ensemble and the Royal Marching Sound Machine have earned the prestigious Sweepstakes award for the second consecutive year.
