The Rockdale Tiger Tough certification event hosted 22 schools on 11/21/2019. The competition included 150 students competing in four different categories (Levels 1 - 3 and Level 3 Masters). Events included a timed torch cutting competition and an underwater welding competition. Congratulations to Alexis Celestino for receiving a $1000 scholarship to Tulsa Welding School.
Six Royal ISD students competed – four in the Level 3 category and two in the Level 3 Masters category. Students also had the opportunity to network with welding industry professionals and the contest judges. The judges worked with each student to review their finished projects and provide feedback on what was done correctly and opportunities for improvement.
